Sweater Weather

~Sweater Weather – The Neighborhood~

A lot of years, it doesn’t really get sincerely cold in our neck of the woods until around the first of the year.

This year is different.  We’ve had a couple of really cold days recently and for the first time in a long time, we’re having “sweater weather.”  The weatherman says we have a whole lot more coming up.

When I started hearing the forecast for the upcoming weather, I knew I was going to probably have to invest in a few pullover sweaters as my wardrobe has been lacking in them for a while now.  I mean, yeah, I have a few cardigans and a couple of pullover sweaters – one from Old Navy and a couple from Lane Bryant.  But, what I wanted was just a place to get some regular pullover sweaters or at least that’s what I thought.

As I was thinking about getting a few new sweaters, it dawned on me that…uh, I don’t really know where to get really great sweaters.  Which made me wonder…just how long has it been since we had a need for sweaters for any length of time?

On average, it’s usually about 55 – 65 degrees during the day this time of year.  This week, we’re heading toward the low to mid 40’s.  Not what we are used to!

Since I knew it was coming, I started searching.  What I found was that sweaters sure have changed a lot since the last time I went intentionally looking for them.  I’m delighted that it turned out to be WAY more than I thought it would be!

Here’s my Top 10 list of favorite sweaters for the season:

Hope all of you are off to a great Christmas Season!
