Stripes and Florals

-That’s What I Like – Bruno Mars-

Some articles of clothing are timeless and no matter how long you own them, you want to keep wearing them.

That’s how I feel about these two pieces.

The top is a light to medium sweater, which I suppose is subjective to where you live and what you are used to wearing.  For me, this is a little more than a light sweater.  However, I love the neck line and that it pairs well with so much.  The “skirt” portion is actually a dress that I bought a few years back.  While I love the dress on its own, I definitely love finding new ways to wear it and with all the colors, it’s not hard to figure out how to make it look different each time.

The dress is fun to wear.  It’s a fit and flare from the Adrianna Papell line (find her current plus-size line here) from Dressbarn.  The dress is very well made and has a lining, so I never have to worry about whether you can see through it or not.

What I love most about these two pieces is that they simply seemed to want to go together.  It’s just easy to match these two prints as they don’t seem to overwhelm each other or appear too busy.

What are your favorite prints to pair?

There are pieces in my closet that will come and go, but I have a feeling that both this sweater and the dress will pop up in other ways.  Stay tuned 😉

Until then, thanks for stopping by and reading my blog.
