Plus-Size Knox Rose dress from Target Review

-Another Love – Tom Odell-

It has taken me some time to get my head around the fact that Target has plus-size clothes.  I can still remember walking into their stores and drooling over things I knew I’d never be able to wear.

Nowadays, it feels more than that though.  I feel like someone at Target is really listening to customers and trying their best to meet our needs.  That’s definitely the case with this line.

Now that I’ve discovered them, I make Target a regular place to look when I’m surfing the net.

My latest find is their Knox Rose collection.  I love almost every item they have in this collection for Fall and it was tough to decide what I wanted to try.  Also, all the items I viewed in this line were offered in sizes XS to XXL.

This line all feels very boho chic, right down my alley.  What’s even better is the price point $27.99 to $29.99 for each dress.  Even lower for dresses that could still work for fall if you live in a warmer climate like I do.  Yay!

After a whirlwind of trying on a few of the dresses at my local Target, I finally picked this one.  I really like the embroidery stitching around the neckline and the pullover shift just made it feel effortless to get dressed.

The dress is actually two pieces, there is a rust colored slip dress beneath.

As this is the first dress that I’ve bought in this line, I’m not sure if it’s just the sizing of the line or if it’s because this is a shift dress, but for me, it felt like it ran a little big. And it did occur to me that it could be that I’m still so used to buying a particular size that I haven’t come to the understanding that yes, PJ, you really can start to try on clothes in a smaller size now.  But to be on the safe side, I would suggest trying it on just in case. (It might even be able to go down two sizes).

The sizing guide fits in pretty well with plus-sizes, so it could also be that this particular one was made to feel a little more flowy.  Ultimately, I went with this dress because I love the color.

Overall, I’m very pleased with my first venture into the Knox Rose line.  I’m pretty sure this won’t be the last time I buy from it.

Coming up tomorrow, I have another guest poster, Melisa Marzett.   I noticed a quote on her page that said, “I have no idea why games and movies about zombies are so popular.”  I asked her what surprised her about it and a few other questions.  She completed her answers in the form of a blog.  Enjoy!
