K is for Kindness
Hello out there! It’s time for the next installment of “The Big List – A Review of Plus-Size Clothing Sites.” This time, I’m researching sites beginning with the letter K. If I’ve missed any that you know about, please feel free to shoot me an email or comment below. In this installment, the links are attached to the names, so if you’re interested in a particular site, just hover over the name and a new window will pop up for that site.
Karen Kane is designed to be a laid-back effortless style with a California vibe.
Plus sizes up to 22W. Prices range from $35 – $200.
Bridal. Sizes up to size 24.
Of all the bridal sites, I am particularly fond of this one. Mainly because there are a lot of color offerings in every dress and the sizes are available in all the dresses (at least all the ones that I checked). Best of all, prices are not overly outrageous the way they are at most bridal shops.
Kik has stores in Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Poland and the Netherlands. Currently (as far as I know), clothing is not available in the US. However, I did find this article which makes me think that at some point those of us in the states may be able to buy from them at some point in the future. It’s definitely one to watch. Here’s a link to their facebook page if you’d like to keep an eye on things.
This is a trendy plus-size clothing brand. If you’d like to see how her designs look on a variety of women, you can stop by @kinyonnacurves on instagram. Her clothing is available up to a size 5X (30-32). Prices start at about $40 to around $150 with some bridal gowns up around $350. Overall, her designs are flattering on every shape. Probably why her designs are so popular.
When I was younger, there was a K-Mart just about everywhere. Nowadays, not so much. I do recall that some years ago they went through a bankruptcy and is possibly why there are far fewer stores today.
Their size range is up to size 5X and their price point is very reasonable.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from K-Mart as it has been many years since I have gone into a physical store. I decided to take a look around the site so I could report back on my findings. Usually when checking out a site, I check out their dress line first. I don’t have a particular reason for this other than my personal feeling that if the dress line sucks, then I don’t have high hopes for the rest of the offerings.
As the page loaded, my eye was drawn to a Julian Taylor Fit and Flare. It looks as though the dress was originally priced around $90, but today is marked on sale for $18. The fabric is 98% polyester and 2% spandex. (It has a 5 star rating, but that’s with only one review.)
Overall, I’d say, go take a look.
This is a specialty shop on etsy and one of my favorite places to go and dream. The clothing is pricey, but oh so beautiful. I also love that many of the pictures of the clothing on this site is modeled by many beautiful curvaceous beauties!
I debated on taking this one down as the link isn’t working (that’s why there is no link). Her facebook page also looks as though it hasn’t been posted on recently.
After some thought, I decided to leave her on the list because her clothes were pretty special. I found a few listings on Poshmark, so the line is definitely something to look for if you can find it.
This is my sister’s favorite place to shop for clothing. She really loves her some Kohl’s.
There are a lot of really nice things at Kohl’s. I love to go there and look at shoes and accessories. Their clothes range up to size 4X and prices vary from $30 up to around $100.

Until next time, thanks for stopping by!
