Everything Was So Grand

I Can’t Stand the Rain – The Commitments

In spite of the song I picked, I actually like the rain…except for the frizzy hair that comes along with it.  For years, I’ve read about how to control this.  Yeah, none of it has worked so much for my hair.  But I do have a nice collection of products just sitting around waiting for me to figure out the right combination.

These days, I’ve just learned that frizzy hair is going to be a part of my life, so I try not to worry about it too much.  Instead, I just go with the flow.

What that means is if it’s warm enough and there’s no lightning, I take off my shoes and find the nearest puddle to jump in.

Once upon a time, there was a huge gully-washer while The Dane and I were driving through this real small town.  We parked the car, got out and found the biggest puddle and started jumping around.  Cars passing by started honking at us and waving like crazy.  Next thing we knew, others were joining us to puddle-jump.

The next time you see two grown people out puddle-jumping, it’s probably us.  Don’t get nervous.  Just take your shoes off and come join in.  It’s great fun…and you meet the nicest people.

Until next time…
